288 cells as 96 series groups of three, in 10 modules and five sections. A battery disconnect unit handles relays, fusing and current sensing. The pack is a stressed floor member.
GM text: 60 kWh, 288 cells, three parallel per group, 96 groups in series, 3.5 V per group, nominal 344 V, about 946 lb (429 kg), 10 modules, five sections, 8-year/100000-mile warranty. Cells about 100 mm high and 338 mm wide. Active cooling is described only as smaller than Volt or Spark; fluid type not named.
NHTSA 20V701 and 21V560, later widened to 2017-2022 Bolt EV and 2022 EUV. LG Ochang cells can fire when charged full. GM's cause: torn anode tab and folded separator in the same cell. A full daily solar charge is the hazard until the remedy is done.
