NHTSA 26V073 supersedes 25V050 and 25V894, whose software remedy Mercedes later judged not fully effective. Certain US 2022-2024 EQB 250+, EQB 300 4MATIC and EQB 350 4MATIC, 11895 vehicles, built 13 Dec 2021 to 9 May 2024. Farasis cells. An internal short at high state of charge might lead to a fire, with no warning if parked. Until the pack is replaced: charge to 80% at most and park outside. The filing says a supplier change from 31 July 2024 stops the defect on later production. A September 2024 UK brochure date does not prove a given car is outside that population.
